No stranger to the stage, Rachel has been performing since she was 6 years old.  She picked up the guitar at age 17 and has been playing ever since. She studied voice at Westfield State College, and then moved closer to home to study musical theatre at Middlesex Community College. Rachel has been involved with the local community theatre scene for several years. She has directed, choreographed and performed in many shows. Some of her favorites include “Working”, “Anything Goes”, and “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Rachel is very excited to be the new voice of Melt. “From the moment we all started playing together; I could feel the creative juices begin to flow and knew that we could make some great music together.” It was important to her that she found a band that she could connect with. “These guys are hard working musicians, open to trying different styles of music, and at the same time have a great sense of humor!”

Influences: Siouxsie and the Banshees, Switchblade Symphony, The Smiths, Bjork, Jewel, Portishead, Concrete Blonde, and Emiliana Torrini.

Real life: Rachel works as a dance instructor. Favorite downtime activities include getting her groove on at a local Goth club, and spending time with her 2 cats Ash and Sadie.
